Finally I am going to share my Hua Hin Trip with you all,
As you all know that safety in Bangkok in Thailand is a concern for all travellers since the last bomb attack few months ago, we decided to opt in for professional taxi when we want to travel to Hua Hin.
I found Mr Eak's contact online and he is super reliable and only charge us about 1800 baht for a one way trip to Hua Hin.
Huahin is a the oldest and most traditional Thai holiday resort you can find near Bangkok. Hua Hin has already been the favourite Thai resort for over 90 years. It is a peaceful city with lots of story behind.
Day 1
Bangkok--> HuaHin---> HuaHin Railway Station -->Krua Kannikar--> Hotel---> Huahin Night Market
We stayed at D VAREE DIVA KIANG HAAD BEACH Hotel which is located near the beach. The price is reasonable and the room is comfy. It comes with a balcony which comes in handy if we want to wash and sundry our beach towels or clothes.
The best part will be they provides free shuttle bus that brings you to the city centre of Hua Hin. You just need to book an hour in advance so you probably get to save 100-150bath.
Transportation in Hua Hin is lousy. You can't get a proper cab yourself on the road. There are only Tuk Tuk and songthaew (2 rows van) is all I can found in Hua Hin. You know i personally dislike tuk Tuk because they tends to drive fast and it is an open sided motor vehicles, it is super dangerous. If it fall at one side, you sure need to go to Hospital. But in HuaHin, we have no choice!!!! it is a must to travel in Tuk Tuk, because I see that this is their main transport for Tourist. Even Proper Taxi don't have a taxi sign on it.
D Varee gave us super cute deco and welcome drinks before our arrival :)
After settled down, we decided to go explore. But with no experience and D Varee location is kinda "ULU" we don't know how to get out of the city. Then the hotel staff tried to ask us to order their taxi service which will cost us 200 baht. Although is not a lot of money, I try to find cheap options. And guess what, I decided to go out and find my own taxi. Because the guy looks a bit "money face" to me.
And of course, we managed to get on a tuk tuk and the kind lady only charged us for only 100 baht. It is only a short distance around 10 minutes.
HuaHin Railway Station
Hua Hin's station is one of the oldest in Thailand and its main feature is The Royal Waiting Room that used to welcome King and his court when they were visiting the town. I kindly like it because it is well preserved and look like a movie scene for me LOL. But you can't see much people there and it's hard to get someone to take a pic for you. I forgot my selfie stick, luckily a lovely family of three came to help us.
After taking nice picture near the old railway station, I am adventurous and want to walk to find the famous fried chicken place- Krua Kannikar!
Later, we went to Hua Hin Night Market from our hotel :)
It is free as we booked an hour earlier. It's free!!!!
Hua Hin Night Market
I totally love their food!! So many options, banana prata, coconut cake etc...
We walked and shop around, I found that it is more expensive in Hua Hin for most of the souvenirs such as thai silk. It is unique that you can find people selling all kinds of firecrackers in the night market. We kinda want to try it out at the beach but we think its quite dangerous if we two do it ourselves. We need a whole bunch of people so its more fun :) I still remember the uncle who said he is a police man himself and now he is selling firecrackers.
Of course we are such a big fan of James- A tv host of Taiwan show 美食大三通·。
He introduces KO seafood and we found it at the second part of the night market- Cross the road and walk around 2 minutes you will see it. You can find super big prawn and lobster. J immediately order one lobster (1.3KG!)
And it costs us only 2000+ Baht, 2000 Per kg. And the Tom Yam soup is full of prawns. Only 80 Bath if I am not wrong.
After the meal, we walked around and went back to Hotel by Tuk tuk around 100-150 bath lol.
